Petersham recorded 12 property transfers from Aug. 28 to Sept. 26, but only three carried a sale price in county records: $20,000, $249,000 and $329,568, for a median of $249,000. Prices for the other nine are not yet available. The period's top recorded sale, $329,568 on an unaddressed Petersham parcel, went to Freedom Mortgage Corp. and Mortgage Electronic Registration Systems Inc. Eight of the 12 transfers listed a bank, credit union or mortgage company as buyer or seller, a pattern consistent with foreclosure or lender-related activity. West Street had the most transfers of any street, with three. No property type, size or per-square-foot data was available for the period.
