Petersham deed transfers rise to seven in July, but only one sale price surfaces
Seven properties changed hands in Petersham between July 3 and Aug. 1, but only one deed disclosed a sale price: a $97,000 transfer on July 17 from John H. and Peter R. Sherwood to Roger and Kathleen McHugh. That figure marks both the range and median for the month, since six of seven transactions listed no consideration amount. Main Street saw two sales; the rest were spread across Old Hardwick Road, Hardwick Road, Old East Street and East Street. Three deeds named banks or mortgage servicers as sellers. With pricing data available for only one transaction, the underlying market tone for July cannot be assessed from this dataset alone.
