Twelve Petersham Deeds Recorded, But Nearly All Sale Prices Kept Private
Twelve property transfers were recorded in Petersham from July 24 to Aug. 22, but only two deeds disclosed a sale price: $1,563 for 1 Old Barre Rd. and $100,000 for 73 Old East St., the period's top disclosed sale. The median across the two disclosed prices was $50,781. Ten of the 12 transfers listed no consideration amount, and at least seven deeds involved banks or mortgage-servicing entities as buyer or seller, including Mortgage Electronic Registration Systems Inc. and Bank of America NA. With most prices undisclosed, the data does not support a clear read on overall market tone this period.
